Reach Truck

From 1 Day at £399 + VAT per day for 3 persons

Reach truck training is essential for anyone working in a warehouse or similar environment. This course is a refresher for anyone operating a reach truck to load pallets in a confined environment. Due to the fact that these trucks operate differently to standard counter balanced fork lift trucks, it is essential that operators complete the relevant training for each one, even if they are operating both within the working environment.

The nature of reach trucks means that they are often operated in very narrow warehouse environments, so training to operate these should be updated regularly so that employees are competent and confident and maintain a safe working practice.

Who will benefit from this course?

Anyone looking to refresh their reach truck operating procedures and ensure they are keeping abreast of any new safety information that the industry has released since their last training. Due to the delicate nature of operating a reach truck companies and individual employees can benefit from using this training as a regular update to complement their current policies and procedures for the operation of reach trucks. Although many employees may be operating these trucks on a daily basis, it is easy to become complacent and pick up bad habits.

The course is to the Road Transport Industry Training Board standards, and is available to anyone over school leaving age and of the necessary degree learning ability to complete the course. The candidate will also need a reasonable degree of physical fitness to comply with HSG6 guidelines.
