Work at Height Course

Use of – Step, Lean & Podium Steps, Towers, Scaffolds, MEWP’s & Harnesses.

Working at heights requires great care as the potential for accidents is extremely high. Both the operator and other people in the vicinity of the equipment are at risk. Access towers need to be securely assembled with all equipment safely installed and used on the towers. It is the responsibility of an employer to make sure that every practical measure is taken to prevent falls and accidents. The potential risks can be substantially reduced by the use of correct procedures. Effective training following participation in Work at Height Courses (Use of Step, Lean & Podium Steps, Towers, Scaffolds, MEWP’s & Harnesses) will ensure that such practices become automatic by every employee.

Under the terms of Health & Safety regulations, employees involved in work carried out any height above the ground must undertake a suitable training programme. Work at Height Courses (Use of Step, Lean & Podium Steps, Towers, Scaffolds, MEWP’s & Harnesses) provide the essential knowledge, skills and risk awareness. These courses comply with Health & Safety Regulations. There are a variety of courses available including courses designed for Low Level Access, Mobile Access towers, Towers on Stairs.

Who should attend these courses?

This course has been designed for any person whose work activity is conducted below or above ground level or has to use equipment such as step ladders, lean ladders, safety harnesses, scaffolding. This includes personnel working in construction, police and fire brigades, Theatres, leisure centres, roofing contractors, maritime, telecommunications, Wind turbine decorators, warehouse staff, cleaning and maintenance.

It is required that the candidates should have the right level of physical and mental fitness as well as the learning ability to be able to complete this course to become qualified.
